Assalamu Alaikum, my dear and respected brothers and sisters,
A novel has been written based on the incredible journeys of our brave and noble heroes—who in our homeland of East Turkestan endured unspeakable oppression by the Chinese oppressors, faced severe hardships in prison, and chose the path of exile to preserve their faith by overcoming countless mountains and valleys.
This historical novel, which took over three years to write, has been titled “A Challenging Journey.”
The marks left by our heroes, who set out using various means of transport from many countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, and Malaysia, have remained in memory for a full ten years in those Southeast Asian nations.
But this history must never be forgotten…
Although I feel quite inadequate in fully expressing the events our migrants have endured, I have written this book in the hope that even a small part of the memories of this blessed journey—drawn from the annals of the past—will not fade from the hearts of our brothers and sisters. The travel stories of many of our brothers in Kaeseri and Istanbul have been embodied in a single hero in this book.
Inshallah, we will meet our dear compatriots face-to-face in the very near future.
